Information Letter

Dear Colleagues,

The Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Arts and Design cordially invite you to participate in the International Scientific-Practical Conference on the topic: “Decorative and Applied Art of the Turkic World: History, Modernity, and Future Prospects”, which will be held within the framework of the 5th Tashkent International Biennale of Applied Arts “Traditions and the Global World”, taking place from October 22-24, 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

 

Conference date: October 22, 2025

Working languages of the conference: Uzbek, Turkish, English, and Russian

Participation format: Hybrid

  1. In-person participation with a presentation (offline)
  2. Participation with a presentation via videoconference (online)
  3. Participation as the author of an article for publication in the conference proceedings

Based on the results of the conference, a collection of scientific articles is planned for publication.

Conference research areas:

  • History and cultural heritage of decorative and applied arts of the Turkic world
  • Preservation and revival of national handicraft traditions
  • Contemporary design and applied arts: innovations and advanced trends
  • Cooperation among Turkic peoples in the field of craftsmanship
  • Applied arts and tourism: new opportunities
  • Education in decorative and applied arts, youth, and the master-apprentice tradition;
  • Applied Decorative Arts and the Creative Industry.

 

Participation Procedure:

To participate in the conference, you must complete an application form and send it to the following email address no later than September 20: Dilnoza Narzullayeva (+998 95863-63- 40) https://t.me/Science_MMM_journal, info@scientists.uz

All applicants will receive a notification regarding the status of their application by September 1, 2025. Please ensure that the application form is completed fully and accurately.

The full texts of presentations and articles must be submitted no later than October 1,

2025.

After the approval of the presentation, participants will receive detailed information about

the program and the conference procedure, as well as a link to access the online session (if applicable).

Indexing conference proceedings

Each article accepted for the conference will be placed at Index Copernicus of Poland, Zenodo and Open Aire of Europe, on the ilmyanjumanlar.uz platform and indexed in Google scholar the international search engine.

A separate DOI number is obtained for each article.

Each author will be provided with a certificate, an indexing reference and a pdf version of the indexed article in electronic form. Conference materials are published in electronic and printed form.

 

Registration fee

The registration fee for conference participants from Uzbekistan is 200,000 soums, and for

 

participants from other countries - free.

The registration fee includes the cost of conference materials and access to the conference and exebition area, coffee breaks.

Local     participants     send     the     payment     amount     to     the     account     number: 20208000105517058001. (Plastic card 9860040104873951 Raxmatullayeva Gulirano).

Please submit a receipt after payment.

For foreign participants and interested persons, excursions to Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Tashkent can be organized upon request (for an additional fee).

 

The editorial board requests authors to adhere to the following requirements when

preparing materials.

Conference Paper Requirements:

The content of the article should clearly and concisely reflect the essence of the issues under consideration, describe the research methodology, and present the results, data, and conclusions obtained by the author.

Formatting Requirements:

  1. An abstract and keywords must be provided in three languages (Uzbek, Russian, and English).
  2. The article should be formatted on A4 paper with the following margins: 2 cm top and bottom, 3 cm left, 1.5 cm right.
  3. The article must be typed in Microsoft Word, using Times New Roman font, 12- point size, 1.15 line spacing, and be between 3 to 6 pages in length.
  4. Illustrative materials (photographs, diagrams) should be submitted in JPEG format, with a minimum size of 2 MB.
  5. Images must be inserted into the body of the article and also submitted separately as individual files (they will be used for the layout of the publication).
    • Captions for the images must be listed separately at the end of the article.
    • The manuscript must be signed by all authors at the end of the text.
  6. A bibliography of 10 to 20 sources is required.

When using electronic resources or internet sources, a full bibliographic citation must be provided, including the complete URL of the source.

For compiling the bibliography:

  • For books:

Author(s)’ last name and initials. Title of the book. – Place of publication: Publisher, Year of publication.
